The Megazord Stormwall is ready to rock!

I’ve showcased the Megazord Stormwall a couple of times before, so I am happy to say he has been completed and is in the loving arms of his owner!

Everyday I’m Shufflin’, Shufflin’! A Painting Table Update.

The painting table is never empty. A situation I’m sure many a wargamer is familiar with.

In my case, my table runneth over with models that need paint. I thought I’d share some of the projects I have going on and talk a little about where they’re heading, how they’re going, etc.  I never seem to stay on one project or model long, as I tend to shuffle between many at a time.  It prolongs the insanity, but at least I change up so often I don’t get bored!

Let’s start with the big mac daddy at the moment….the Menoth Battle Engine: The Vessel of Judgement!

[Commission] The Stormwall AKA MEGAZORD!!

Paul's Stormwall as Megazord
Paul’s Stormwall as Megazord (WIP)

I’m really jumping around in topics on this blarg aren’t I?

That pretty much echoes real life as I keep jumping around different models and armies in my painting.  But it’s high time this Stormwall took center stage as it is a commission.  Thankfully the owner is away at college at the moment, so he’s not hurting to get it back, which is great because painting a colossal has been a bigger undertaking than I first imagined.

The story behind this paint job is actually pretty cool.  The player is painting up his jacks in the colors of the Power Rangers, so I suggested that his Stormwall should be Megazord.  It was an idea that was too cool to pass up so here I am making it happen.  Below is the pic I’m using as a reference.

One of the original OGs.

The cool thing about it is that I actually get to flex my airbrushing muscle on this guy as my jet black Menoth didn’t really need it.  By my estimates this guy is about 30% done.  He still needs a few basecoats here and there and I haven’t even touched the arms yet…

Cool Stuff: kommander_redfinger’s Awesome Fort Falk Stormwall!

mmm...sublime.
Mmmm…so sublime.

Wowza.

Is there really anything more you can say when you see this Stormwall?

Painted up by kommander_redfinger on the PP forums, this Stormwall may be one of the most realistic looking miniatures I’ve ever seen.

There’s really not much more to say other than letting the pics speak for themselves, so check out the thread here for more pics!

First Colossal officially revealed: Cygnar Stormwall. So…how much is it?

Cygnar Colossal, The Stormwall
The lightning may not be the only thing that shocks you...

The first Colossal has been officially revealed, along with the answer to one of the major questions to these Colossals:  How much will they cost?

The answer: $135 USD.

Now this could just be for this one, because it also comes with 3 small based lightning pod things, but I think the others are going to be very close in price.  Many on the forums and Privateer Press’ facebook are complaining about the price point.  What are your thoughts?  I personally was thinking they would be around $100-$110ish, since the battle engines are around $85 each.  Another kind of weird thing, it that they really seem to be moving on these things, but all of the battle engines and some figures for the latest books aren’t even out yet.

I still think it looks awesome, even if it is…Cygnar.  I’m looking forward to seeing the other ones in all their official photo glory, especially the Menoth and Khador ones (cause, ya know, I play them).

Seriously though, check out the 360 gallery on Privateer Press’ site, it is really good and smooth, rather than the 4-6 sided ones they usually do.
