Above is a pic from last night’s IKRPG session. Zac got his PC painted up and it looks ace! Now that leaves just 3 more before I can get that group picture…
I know I’ve been lax in updating these past few months. Part of that was just life in general and recently it’s been because I’ve been swamped in commission work. Not that I’m complaining. It is what funds this addiction hobby. I have 3 that are in the homestretch at the moment, I hope to have them all done by no later than this Saturday.
After those are done, I’m going to take some time to focus on my own army mans, like getting my Legion Rearguard ready for the Slow Grow/Journeyman league that usually hits during the summer months. That way whenever it begins, all the prep work like priming, making bases, pinning, greenstuffing, etc, is all done and all I have to do is just pick up and paint.
I also have another little project I have in the works that I’m taking at a very slow pace…
I’ve posted this pic to the forums and other sites, figured I may as well post it here!
Going off my last post about him, I’m finally started to put paintbrush to model as my giddiness to get him done overcame me. He’s pretty much done at the moment. The last remaining items are a custom tattoo I’m going to be doing on the right arm and painting the cloth that hangs at his waist. I’m not quite sure what color to paint that…My original intent was a darker red, but I also may just do it in the Sanguine that I use throughout the figure to avoid bringing too much color into the model…
We’ll see, but he’s going to definitely be finished and sealed for our next IKRPG night!
The story is really starting to gain some intrigue and I’m excited to see where it is all going. I feel like I am starting to get the hang of RPGing finally. But this post isn’t really about that, it’s about Rohan, my character!
Our GM sent us a character questionnaire over the weekend which I think was a great boon for getting into not only the story a bit more as it gave us a chance to really flesh out our character’s backstory, but get in the mindset so to speak of our characters. It also really got me hooked on finally starting to put together my character’s model. Up until this point I have been using whatever assassin-ish model has been available, notably one of my Nyss Hunters. That was all well and good (as I love my Nyss Hunters and the paint job I did on them), but I really wanted to make myself a unique model. That’s half the fun right?
Lots of text and pics follow, including some character art drawn by yours truly!
