…And Ghetorix makes a Four Wolf Moon.

WMW is nearly upon us and I have resigned myself to the mad paint dash.

Just look at him!
Look at this sexy mofo.

I spent nearly all Sunday working on Ghetorix start-to-finish and he came out amazing. Granted a lot of breaks were taken for wash drying and I worked on my Druids some.

Is Three Wolf Moon still a thing? Here’s my take on it…

Why the lack of Circle Orboros updates?  Blame my painting spree in preparation of WMW.  The armies I’m painting are just…all of the place.

Everything is somewhere between 25-50% done (minus the Skinwalkers and Ghetorix ugh) and I keep jumping around as to avoid any kind of burn out in this crucial homestretch.

But I did want to share some progress today…

How do the Factions of Hordes play?

Following up on the Warmachine factions, here are the Hordes side of the house.

Overload Online

Startin Armies

Here I am, on the road again…

Read the previous two posts here to get an introduction to the game itself, and here to have a look at Warmachine Factions.

Today we are going to talk about Hordes Factions. Warmachine is more about resource management and infantry, Hordes is all about big smashy monsters and trying keep control of them when you push them to go wild on the enemy. Fury is the resource of this twin system to Warmachine, which your warbeasts generate, and your warlock takes back to use as both a defensive mechanic and to power their spells. The first rule of Hordes is always leave 2 fury on your warlock! It will keep you alive!

[Journeyman 2014] In which I learn that painting Skorne is also torture.

The time of this year’s Journeyman is almost here! Countdown one week from today!  Since we can have up to half of our list painted (about 27 points) before the start of the league, I figured it was time to get started on my death elves.

So you want to play Warmachine/Hordes? A Beginner’s Guide

Note: this is only slightly out of date as this was written during MK2. MK3 is the current ruleset. There are some nuance differences in the ruleset but for the most part, many things still apply.

So you want to starting playing Warmachine and Hordes, but you haven’t the slightest where to start?

I put together this guide for the WM/H subreddit a few months back in order to help “noobs” and beginners get better acquainted with the game. Figured might as well share it here as well.  This is by no means comprehensive, but I tried to touch on each subject in broad stokes in order to keep things from getting too overwhelming for someone new to the game (or wargaming in general as that was my case).
