…And Ghetorix makes a Four Wolf Moon.

WMW is nearly upon us and I have resigned myself to the mad paint dash.

Just look at him!
Look at this sexy mofo.

I spent nearly all Sunday working on Ghetorix start-to-finish and he came out amazing. Granted a lot of breaks were taken for wash drying and I worked on my Druids some.

Is Three Wolf Moon still a thing? Here’s my take on it…

Why the lack of Circle Orboros updates?  Blame my painting spree in preparation of WMW.  The armies I’m painting are just…all of the place.

Everything is somewhere between 25-50% done (minus the Skinwalkers and Ghetorix ugh) and I keep jumping around as to avoid any kind of burn out in this crucial homestretch.

But I did want to share some progress today…

Sigh…why do I do this to myself…

So I’ve had a change of heart since last we spoke…after playing some more games practicing my Menoth, I came to a realization.

I was burned out on Menoth.  I’ve been playing them for a few years straight now, minus the 6 or so months I broke off to play Rhyas last year.

So I’ve done an about face and will be playing Circle Orboros at Warmachine Weekend this year, eKaya and Kromac to be precise.  Yes, with only a month of practice.  I going to have fun not to take the whole thing, but hey, who knows?  Maybe I’m a Circle savant…

Updates to come…

Another successful hobbying weekend! With Pics!

Despite my being out of town for a almost a week, I had what I would call a successful hobby weekend!  Well it was pretty much a successful Sunday…but still!

Let’s take a look-see at what hit the table this weekend!

Shifting Stones and Stone Keeper

Sorry no witty title this time.

Just a quick shot of the Shifting Stones and Stone Keeper for my fledgling Circle Orboros force. I actually painted this group up a month or so back, but never got around to posting it.

I’m still not sure what I want to do with my Circle.  As in, whether I want to even do it at all or not.  It was originally going to be a 50 point eKaya T4 list, but then I had thoughts to expand it into a full-fledged force.  I have all the models for the eKaya list, but now I’m not so sure I want to keep going with them at all.

I’m all in on Menoth and my Rhyas Rearguard, but I worry I won’t have the time for THREE armies…

Where the wild things will be…

Sorry it’s been awhile since I last updated the site, but as you could have guessed from the last post: I’ve been suffering from a case of burn out coupled with a few other relatively mundane reasons that have cut into my hobby time and motivation.

I intend on starting to update this site again in the next few weeks as things for me settle back down.

In the mean time, enjoy a teaser pic.

Pureblood Warpwolf work in progress shot.

This weekend I worked a bit on some of my Circle stuff.  This is more of a pet (eh? eh?) project for me, so I’m not rushing through it and I’m being very particular of my work (more so than usual).

I wanted to share with you all a quick WIP shot of the Pureblood Warpwolf and get your feedback on it.  I’m not sure I 100% like how it came out.  My process was to coat the whole thing in a regal-ish blue, then highlight with P3 Frostbite, then finally with P3 Morrow White.  I was trying to give him a ghostly, icy feel, but I think I over did it on the white.  I also think I should have maybe done a layer in between the blue and frostbite.

What are your thoughts?

I also worked on some bases for them using a basing kit I recently picked up and will review from Secret Weapon, here’s a sneak peek:
